1. Your favourite childhood Holiday
We went to Great Yarmouth a lot, but to be honest I can't remember any of them. I had 2 abroad holidays when I was with Mum and Dad, the first being to Tunisa and the second is Ibiza. I could not really tell you a favourite because I can't really remember them.
2. How do you normally spend your weekend
I am a creature of habit and totally predictable when it comes to my weekends! Saturday I get up when Maisie tells me and I get myself and everyone ready, then we go to Mum and Dads when we are ready and then Lilly goes Swimming, then I spend the rest of the day there. Sundays we always go round and see Richards Mum and Dad and then go for a walk somewhere and come home for the rest of the day.
3. What is your relationship like with your siblings
I would say good! Growing up and living together... not so good me and my brother would argue like cat and dog and would have actual physical fights! We once smashed the glass in our front door while we were fighting. Now we don't live together we get on, he is a brilliant Uncle to the girls and even though sometimes he can be a little annoying his heart is in the right place and he is my brother, so obviously I love him!
4. What personal achievement are you most proud of
I'm going to be boring and say giving birth and becoming a Mum, other than that honestly I aint really done anything else significant in my life!
5. What nicknames did you have growing up
I had no nicknames until I got to College then I was Jado, Jadeth, MC Jadeth, Jadesmina, but a lot of people call me Jadey now.
6. Did you ever get lost as a chid
No, I can't remember much of my childhood, but as far as I can remember I never got lost!
7. Are you a city or a country person
Country bumpkin through and through! I am not a fan of busy streets, I remember going to Oxford street in London and I could not handle it, I found myself saying sorry 100 times that day bumping into people, which from memory I don't even think they were arsed as they used to it.
8. The biggest lie you have ever told
I can't seriously think of anything! I have to say that I am sometimes to honest for my own good. The biggest lie I am telling at the moment is that the tooth fairy is on its way as Lilly has a wobbly tooth.
9, If you could meet any fictional character who
This is a tough one, cause to be honest I aint that bothered, however if I could own any fictional character it would defiantly be the transformer Bumble Bee! Actually I have a better one, all the Ninja Turtles... the ones from the movies.
10, Your favourite books
Books, nah not for me! I used to love books when I was younger, I loved all Roald Dahl Books and had them all, Georges Marvellous Medicine was my all time favourite, but since then I have not read many books.
11. What would you do if money was no object,
I would get my teeth done, my boobs done, a reduction and lift and buy a nice house for my family. If I had unlimited money I would properly invest in a boutique, properly bridal, I would love to stock and sell beautiful wedding dresses and be there to help people choose their dress for their special day. Oh and I would get a in house massage therapist and have one every day!
12. Favourite Memory of a Childhood Pet
Our dog Bella was my best friend, we would lay on my mum and dads bed watching DVDs together.. before I had a TV in my room and I enjoyed taking her for walks when I got home from school and College. However my favourite memory of Bella, well I have loads more but this one always makes me smile! So one of my meals of choice when I lived at home was Beans and Sausages on toast and I always used to eat in my bedroom and without fail when I used to have this Bella would follow the smell and come into my bedroom, I would always save her my last sausage.
13. How do you like your Coffee
Well however it comes, Im not fussy. I would ask for a coffee with milk and 1 sugar (depending on the size of the cup depends on the sugar (big cup - 1 sugar Small cup - no Sugar) But if you put a sugar in or forget I will still drink it.
14. Do you like being outside or inside more
Inside, Cause the outside is unpredictable! I hate the heat and sun, so i like to be inside when its hot as its cooler inside than out! I love rain and snow, but it better enjoyed from the inside too.
15. What is your favourite movie about love
The Notebook I think, cause just shows the power of real true love and what people will do for the one they love.
16. What would be your perfect 3 course meal
Lets start with some sort of deep fried cheese and a dipping sauce. Steak and chips with peppercorn sauce and onion rings. Lastly a Treacle Tart with Custard.
17. The best date you have ever been on
I have been on 3 dates prior to my first date with Richard. All 4 dates were average, but obviously the best one was with Richard, we went to Indian Summer and it was the first curry I had ever had! I think I ordered a Korma... which is pointless, Futile.
18. Your First crush
Richard, I remember the exact moment I saw him in year 4 and ever since then I always liked him. I liked a few other people along the way but he was my first and my last!
19. What qualities do you value in a romantic partner
Richard is the only romantic partner that I have had and I think he is perfect for the most part. He is kind and generous, funny, he is not romantic but thoughtful which is so much better as I am not very romantic myself.
20. Something you are looking forward to
Richard coming home, today Richard left to go and work in Saudi Arabia again, so we will be counting down the days when we know that he is coming back.
21. Things that make you happy
Simple Things make me happy! But again im going to be predicable and say my girls and watching them just be makes me happy.
22. What Defining moments were in your childhood
My childhood was smooth sailing, nothing i can think that was too out of the ordinary.
23.What sort of parties do you like to go to
Ones that finish early!
24. Three Celebrity Crushes
Henry Cavill, David Beckham and I am struggling
25. What are your 5 best character traits
Sincere, Humble, Considerate, Wise and Honest...... if I do say so myself
26. Have you ever had an encounter with the police
Yes, A very brief encounter but one none the less. Basically I was crossing the road to go to a bus stop and we stopped in the middle for some reason or another and the police happened to be driving by and told us not to stop there.
27. Four items you would put in a time capsule
A photo of me, so people know what I look liked, a letter describing what the world is like at the moment obviously from my point of view. A receipt of a weekly shop so they can see what we bought and how much it cost and lastly a little gift for the person that opens it.... maybe a keyring or something.
28. What is a mistake people often think about you
I have no idea, I think people properly think that I am quite outgoing and confident because of my blog, vlogs and tiktoks, but when Im doing all that I am on my own or with family so it don't feel at the time lots of people are looking at me!
1st. What are your goals for the year
I say this every January but I would love to lose weight and get healthy and also I would love to save some money and get myself some dental implants as this gap in my tooth is starting to really effect me. But more importantly enjoy the year, be happy and stay healthy.
2nd. What Scares You
Not being there for my children as they get older. Since becoming a mum health anxiety is something I suffer from and I worry that something is going to happen to me and I will not be around to be there for my girls and watch my them grow up.
3rd. What three things from Christmas do you wish to remember
Lilly and Millie watching the Santa tracker on Christmas Eve, Lilly especially was getting ever so excited when you could see Santa and the Elves getting ready for Christmas. Lilly and Millie watching Home Alone with Richard, they absolutely loved the pranks. Lastly just seeing their faces as they open their presents and just spending the time together, which was out last Christmas as a family of four.
4th. Do you believe in soulmates
I have been with Richard for 18 years and I could not imagine being with anyone else, I think he is perfect for me, he knows me so well and I believe I know him inside and out. So I would have said that he is my soulmate.
5th. One word for the year and why
Happiness, I believe as long as you are happy then not much else can go wrong! I want to make lots of happy memories with my family, ones I can keep and cherish forever.
6th. Three things you can't live without
Richard, My Children, My Parents! Im not to sure how I can elaborate on this one. Richard is the love of my life and he does so much for me and the girls, he always puts his family first and is one of the most selfless, kind and generous people I know. Lilly, Mille and now Maisie have completed my life, and as soon as they were born I knew I could not be without them. My Mum and Dad do absolutely everything for me. Whenever I need anything they are always there for me.
7th. Something you feeling guilty about
Being a mum and feeing guilty just go hand in hand! Now with a newborn baby, I feel so guilty that I am not paying enough attention to Lilly and Millie! I feel bad when the house is a mess, but then I feel bad when I clean it instead of spending time with them! I hate when I raise my voice to them! I constantly feel like I should be doing more! I feel bad when I give them fish fingers and waffles for the 3rd time that week! The worst is when I want to get something done so I give them their iPads and then they say they don't want it, oh boy does that make me feel bad!
8th. What was your favourite toy as a child
Sega Master System, Sonic the hedgehog, Alex the Kid, Gain Ground, Street Fighter! I loved my Barbies and I loved Whack-Attack but me and my brother would spend hours on the Sega so that must have been the best toy ever!
9th. What would you do if you knew you could not fail
I would properly have to say play the Lottery! I know that is a naughty answer but a big or small win would help out loads. I do play the lottery every once in a while and every time I do I imagine in my head winning and what I would do. Im not greedy, a smallish win would help, £500K would be nice but then I would not say no to £127M.
10th. Your Favourite Flower
Daffodils, I think they just brighten up the place and I also love them because they are cheap, so I don't mind buying them, because lets be honest why would you spend a small fortune on something that is going to die at some point and end up in the bin.
11th. Three favourite TV Shows
Friends, even though I have not watched it since Matthew Perry died, I just can't bring myself to do it. I have been a fan of the show since I can remember, showing my age but I had all 10 series on VHS and then the black DVD box and then the extended version boxset. Gavin and Stacy, I can watch this over and over again on repeat and still find it funny. Only Fools and Horses, just a classic and can't beat it.
12th. What is your favourite memory
Most of my memories are sparked by photos! But I do have one memory that is actually a memory and it is with my Nanny, I went to school in Castle Acre where she lived with my grandad and sometimes she would pick me up and walk me back to their house and more often than not she would take us to the village shop and this time in particular she bought me some mini marshmallows and I remember her trying one and saying that it tasted like chalk.
13th. Places you enjoy visiting
Weymouth is a firm favourite of mine, however I do feel that I need to give that a year or so break as the last few times have not felt the same. It was mine and Richards first holiday together, his Grandma used to live there and we would go and stay with her. I do love it and Richard always suggests going there even if it is just for a couple of nights.
14th. How do you cope with Worry
I don't, I do worry about a lot of things, I let things play on my mind and some the things I worry about hold me back so much, but I still can't help but worry about them. I think I need to start telling myself if i can't change it then don't worry about it.
15th. What do you envy
Confident people. I would do anything to feel comfortable in my own skin. I was confident when I was younger, middle school I was fine and happy, when I got to highs school I kind of lost it a little but I gained so much confidence when I went to college and beyond! However then I got ill with P.O.T.S when I was 21 and was bed ridden for about 5 years, in that time I totally lost all my confidence, I did not go out and when I did I would end up being ill for a week afterwards. I got a little bit of confidence back after having Lilly but after Millie I lost it and now after Maisie.. Gone!!
16th. What is your favourite time of day
Bedtime! I love my bed and I think I always have. My mum said that I used to be in bed by 6.30 when I was younger. Given the chance I would now too.
17th. Things you always do with your dad when you were little
I was a proper daddy's girl and I loved being with him. My dad was a mechanic and I would often go up to his garage at the top of the garden and help him, wether he thought I was helping was another story.
18th. What would you do if you were a Teacher
Well what is the easiest subject to teach, it would be that one.
19th. Your saddest memory
When I found out that my Nan had died. I remember just crying in the corner, she was the first person I ever lost and to be someone close made it even worse.
20th. What is something you love about yourself.
Im not sure wether this is a good thing, but I love that I can have a smile on my face all the time, no matter how Im feeling inside. I think this is because I don't want to make people feel uncomfortable. So if Im feeling low or angry and I see some one I don't want to put that on them or make it awkward.
21st. When you were a child, how did you imagine your adult self.
I didn't! I never thought about growing up and I think my child hood benefited from this! Lilly said to me the other day how she could not wait to be a grown up and I said to her, time goes by so quick and before you know it you will be an adult, so just enjoy being a kid. I can not remember ever feeling like that.
22nd. Describe a good neighbour
Someone who keep them self to them self, but there if you need them and keeps there garden and house looking nice so you have a nice view out of your window. not noisy and respectable. I am lucky that i am surrounded by lovely neighbours but they are of an older generation, so they fit my criteria well, i only have one neighbour who could keep their garden a bit nicer.
23rd. Who is someone you miss.
I have lost many people in my life, but the person I miss the most is defiantly my Nanny. She died when I was 7 and she was the first close person in my life that I lost and I think so much about how great it would be to have her in my life still, for her to have met Richard and maybe lived long enough to have met Lilly.
24th. What childhood memories do you associate with winter
Laying infant of the wood burner and looking out the french doors at the cold frosty garden.
25th. Are you a morning or night person.
Morning! I can't wait to get in to bed at night and get to sleep, the earlier the better and I like to wake up and get ready for the day.
26th. If you could have dinner with anyone currently alive, who
Properly just Richard, as it would just be me and him and we could have a nice meal without the girls, as much as I love them, they are the most fussy eaters ever and meal times are properly my least favourite part of the day! So a meal with just Me and Richard would be lovely.
27th. What is your current go to outfit
Leggings and a top with a shirt. Nothing else fits me and the top and shirt is ideal for breast feeding.
28th. What is your favourite meal to cook and why
A pasta bake, and for the pure reason that everyone will eat it! I like it, Richard likes it and most importantly so does Lilly and Millie.
29th. How do you feel about the dark
I used to hate it, but it surprising how used to the dark you get when you pay for your own electricity. Growing up my mum regardless used to leave the landing light on, so when I moved out I automatically left a light on, but I can go to sleep in the pitch black and with a little light on.
30th. Where were you born and have you been back there since
I was born in Kings lynn Queen Elizabeth Hospital and I was recently there having my third baby, all my girls were born in the same hospital that I was born in, which I think is quite nice actually.
31st. What does January mean to you
Defiantly new beginnings and chance to start over.
4 weeks left till my due date and I can't wait, if you read my last blog post about my pregnancy symptoms you will know that I have been through it, but recently I have two more symptoms to add to the list! Lightning crotch and lower belly pain.
Lightning Crotch is a sharp pain down there, its a massive shooting pain in my pelvic area, it can be caused by pressure of babies head on the cervix or the baby putting pressure on nerve endings around the pelvis. When I first looked it up it said that its the baby moving to the birth canal and I worried that the baby was on the way... however it also said this can occur weeks before you actually go into labour and then I felt a little bit better.Lower belly pain has been the worst, I am not actually able to walk or stand for more than a minute without getting a crippling pain in the lower belly, so for the last week I have been trying to take it easy and sit down and move as little as possible. I spoke to the midwife yesterday and all is ok, so no worries just taking it extremely easy for the next 4 weeks. Anyway enough of my complaining about being pregnant lets talk about how I am getting ready for baby number 2.
Emptying the Loft
I never planned on having another baby but I kept everything that Lilly had when she was a baby just because I could not bare to part with it, well good job I didn't get rid of it all. A few weeks ago I went into the loft and got everything down, I got the Play mat (Similar), Bouncer (Similar), Changing Table (Similar), Baby Bath, Snug Seat, Next to Me Crib down along with some Toys, Sleep-suits, bodysuits, sleep bags and all her little outfits from 0 to 3 months.
What I have bought
Due to having kept so much there was not a lot of stuff that I had to buy but I had few bits that I needed to get which was wrong out with Lilly, I got a new Changing Mat, Muslin Cloths, Health Care Kit, Baby Pod, and Baby Monitor along with some bodysuits and a new sleep bag for a small baby, as Lilly only had blankets when she was newborn and looking back I wish I had got her a sleep bag.
Hospital Bag
Some may say a little bit early, but I wanted to get everything ready in good time, so my hospital bag is packed. My plan is to have a water birth, but you never know what will happen so I have packed incase I don't get my water birth like last time.
For Me
Bikini and Oversized Top for water Birth, I wanted a water birth with Lilly, but things did not go to plan so I have also packed a Lilac Oversized t-shirt Dress and Blue oversized T-shirt dress incase I have to be moved to a bed, I was not prepared for this with Lilly and was naked while giving birth, not that I cared at the time but I wanted to be prepared this time. Night shirt to wear after having the baby, this one is oversized and also buttons up so easier for breast feeding. Dressing Gown and Slippers to wear around the hospital once had baby. Clothes for Home, I have some Maternity Leggings and a oversized Top. Disposable Underwear and maternity pads, most lists advise to take loads of knickers and maternity pads, but I prefer to just have disposable underwear and maternity pads for extra comfort. Toiletries bag which has Shampoo, shower gel, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, flannel, razor, comb, hair brush, and hair ties and Lipbalm. Nursing Bra and breast pads for feeding the baby. Peri Bottle for keeping things clean down there and also helps when you use warm water when you have a wee after having a baby. Snacks and Drinks for me and Richard, Chocolate bars and Isotonic drinks to keep my energy levels up. Camera, Phone and chargers and money is what I will pack on the day of.
For Baby
Newborn Bodysuits and Sleep-suits and up to a Month Bodysuits and Sleep-suits, I taken new born and up to a month as Lilly was in up to a month when she was born as the newborn was too short for her. Size 0 nappies and 1 Nappies incase the baby is too big for size 0. Baby Wipes, I went for water wipes to start with. A Blanket, baby already got knitted a blanket from my Auntie Debra so this is what she will be coming home with. Muslin Cloths, just taking 3 or the new ones that I bought. Cardigan and Outfit for Home.
Baby Room
Well unfortunately the baby does not have a room yet, we have planning permission for the extension and hopefully work will be underway within the next few months. The baby is in the room with me for the first 6 months anyway, but it is very sad that the baby does not have a room that I can decorate and put all her stuff in one place, but it is what it is. So in that respect I am not ready at all, but the baby will be spread over my room and dressing room for a while until the extension is done.
Lilly
I truly believe Lilly is going to be a brilliant big sister, she loves her dolls and is so soft and gentle with them (most of the time). She knows that baby sister is in my belly and all the toys and new things around the house are for baby sister, but when a new baby is actually here, I have no idea what she is gonna be like. I have bought her a little present from baby sister and gonna get her a few more little bits. The most important thing that I have to do is keep her as involved as possible and not to make her feel left out, I know its gonna be better when Richard is here as there will be two of us, so when I am with baby Richard can be with Lilly and visa versa, but when he goes back to work it will just be me, Lilly and the baby and up till then it has just been me and Lilly and she has had all my attention, I can do this!!
I am ready to go, well as ready as I can be. I have not been able to do much nesting due to the new pains that I have, hoping that will ease up and I can get some things tidy and sorted ready for when baby is here. In all honestly I do not feel mentally prepared because like I said to Richard it don't actually feel like I am having a baby in 4 weeks time, but I am!!
Autumn and Winter makes me so happy and one of the main reasons are the clothes! I have not bought clothes for nearly 9 months and I can't wait to buy a few things to update my wardrobe, here are some things that I would love to add to my Autumn/winter wardrobe.
This outfit is first as its one that I really want, and if I don't get anything else listed below and just these 4 things I will be happy! The Zara High Rise Straight Jeans - £27.99 will be such an easy item to dress up and down and along with the Zara Seamless Top with Vents - £17.99 which I think is so unique with the vents on the sleeves. Converse Platfrom Trainers - £70.00 are so versatile I think will look great with an all black outfit and the Zara Khaki Quilted Jacket - £59.95.
All Black outfit, sounds about right for me! The Zara Satin Shirt - £19.99 with the Topshop Leather Look Leggings - £20.00 and Missguided Black Faux Leather Biker Jacket - £55.00 will be a nice texture with all the leather look and then some chunky boots like the ASOS Black Boots - £30.00.
The Famous Zara bodysuits, I love the colour of the Zara Halter neck Purple Bodysuit - £14.99 and the Zara Halter Neck Dark Red Bodysuit - £14.99 will add a hint of colour to an all black outfit with the Topshop Dad XL Denim Jacket - £35.99.
As soon as I saw these Marks and Spencer Chunky Chelsea Boots - £45.00 I thought that looked great and makes change from all my black boots and I thought they were a steal at £45.00.
I have recently bought this blazer in black and it is lovely, so nice that I would defiantly consider getting it in brown, the Topshop Oversized Crepe Blazer - £55.00 can be dressed up for down, I used to think that blazers were only for when your getting dressed up , but I think they are something you can wear everyday, with these Zara - Seamless Leggings - £17.99 and the Zara Knit Crop Top - £11.99 with some trainers will look great.Cosy nights in the autumn and winter are a must and why not make yourself feel good about staying in with these lovely Bluebella Claudia Satin Pyjama Set - £40.00 and MissGuided Co-Ord Set - £22.00.
